(this week) me: you know my eye is still twitching? bena: okay there must be a cockroach living in your eye or something.

sensitive issue..today's bible study was on Taming the Tongue which was, wow, really timely. This week till today was really uncontrolled spilling of negative facts about people, which essentially is taking a partisan view, bitching, backstabbing, gossiping, snapping and discouraging, so the lesson was really an appropriate reminder. While people can be really..degenerative(?) in their values and morals, it doesn't really mean that we are guilt-free when we compromise in ours as well...which is kind of hard to realise but glorifies God even more when you actually fulfil it. Personally I agree with how bible verses are exhortations and not instructive words, but still there underlies the need for attempt in edifying ourselves and others, trusting the holy spirit's prompting, etc.
and on a more personal note, talking about people and harping on their screwed up life is really tiring because it's a breeding ground for unforgiveness, so oh wells, maybe i could convert this energy into more positive forms.

on the same subject but different issue, seriously, in life what is that we all value? if your life is tearing at the seams is there a need to keep it perfect on the outside when all you probably need is some healing?
