huangcheng last night was pretty cool, just that it left me hanging and going "huh" after the 1st 2 shows ended.. so well, but i guess i wasn't paying much attention.
props to props (uh pun not intended) because they were really well-done i was like "omg how did the chair fall!" but then again i get excited over small things so..ah wells.
on a heavier note, it took me 3 productions (dance, dance; bandage; huangcheng) coupled with 16 years to realise that to every production comes along a package of sweat, tears, and inexplicable joy. That even though you may just be a small part of the whole thing, whether you are doing publicity, props, acting, logistics, secretariat, the audience sees the product of the effort, and i guess that's what that really counts. Yes even though it may not need as much skill, techniques as the sports ccas, it nonetheless demands a certain level of commitment, passion, zest for it. And we, though uninvolved didn't overlook that.
