today i learnt that every computer that ever walked the earth (ok created on earth) should have, must have 1. hijackthis 2. smitfraud.
cos my stupid brother allowed a malware to enter my computer.
it was really scary, cos there was this red wallpaper with the message "protect your computer!" or whatever along those lines which is actually a link to a spyware site that completely obscured my own wallpaper.
AND IT WAS REALLY. SCARY. but anyhows we took over 2 hours to fix the disgusting thing, safe mode, smitfraud, clean, scan, hijackthis, analyse, trojan horse, blah blah blah so on and so forth came into play.
but kudos to geekstogo.com for instructions though they provided the wrong method for entering into safe mode -.-
